Middlesbrough have confirmed their first summer signing in winger Mark Yeates from Colchester for an undisclosed fee.
The Irishman, who began his career at Tottenham, has enjoyed a successful two seasons at Colchester where he has developed an eye for goal.
Middlesbrough manager Gareth Southgate will have made note of the 13 goals Yeates netted last season and will hope he can recreate the same kind of form at The Riverside as Middlesbrough seek an immediate return to the Premier League.

Hi Ariff,
Yeates looks like he will be a decent signing for us. He is a very technical player which will suit our play very well. He is also very quick which is needed in this league. Dead-ball specialist too so look out for some free-kicks from outside the box!
