Deepdale Solutions Boro First Sponsor

RESPECTED Teesside company Deepdale Solutions Ltd has won the race to become Boro's very first "front-of-shirt" monthly sponsor.

Gordon Strachan's new-look team will run out for their first match against Ipswich Town at the Riverside on Saturday August 7 with the Hartlepool firm's name proudly emblazoned across their chests.

Derek Muirhead, Managing Director of the specialist curtain walling and cladding sub-contractor to the UK construction industry, described the sponsorship as "the realisation of a dream".

He praised the club for giving local companies the chance to raise their profile on a national basis thanks to the revolutionary new monthly packages, which are believed to be a world first.

"This scheme allows us to promote our business nationally in a way that is not currently available at any other club," he said.

"I have no doubt that other clubs will be looking closely at the success of this scheme and that many may ultimately follow suit," he said.

"For many local businesses, this also represents an opportunity to realise a dream to see their company highlighted on a Middlesbrough first-team shirt."

Mr Muirhead added: "In my opinion, Middlesbrough FC has consistently been ahead of the curve in preserving the financial health of the club and this scheme clearly demonstrates vision."

Deepdale Solutions have won the Hartlepool Business of the Year award twice in the last four years.

Tailored For You… is the campaign message for Boro's innovative new monthly "front of shirt" sponsorship package available throughout the 2010-11 season, and the club is delighted with the success of the campaign to date.
